Although it's still noon on the 31st here, Happy New Year! 8D
A NO ARASHI.
How many years has it been? I'm crying here.
Let's see if I can put down Pokemon Diamond long enough to post. In my last entry, I was totally KY. Despite going "lololol this will probably be my last entry until after Christmas!" I didn't actually wish anyone a Merry Christmas or even wish Aiba-chan Happy Birthday. I AM A HORRIBLE PERSON I KNOW. ;; So, Merry Belated Christmas everyone and Happy Belated Birthday Aiba-chan. I named my Buizel after him in celebration. Treeeyyy, I can't get wifi working right now, but as soon as I figure it out, let's battle and/or trade Pokeymans. My team is about level 20 and sucks. edit: 3136-5324-5372 >D
I do not come before you empty handed! I cleaned my scanner thoroughly with Windex and scanned some of my presents. They are slightly better quality than before. My revenge is complete. This is the binder from the Here We Go concert + Jun's pencil board. Here We Go merchandise is the main thing I collect, so I was ecstatic to get these on Christmas Eve. ♥♥♥ I didn't scan the front of the binder, as it just has a big red "5" on it. I like Jun's shirt. Having high self confidence is healthy. xD;; He also seems to be keeping a record of all the girls he's been with. Quick, go check if your name is on there.
Original huge files can be downloaded here. As always, steal if you want, credit is appreciated but not necessary.
Also got the Iza Now photobook from 'Santa' on Christmas Day, but that's already been scanned by lovely people elsewhere. ♥ Some other presents included a few gift certificates (o wow now I can buy a coat), shoes (that don't fit ;_;), the aforementioned Pokemon Diamond and the limited edition Zelda DS, Cooking Mama, and Yoshi's Island. Haven't had a chance to play Yoshi yet (played the SNES version a million times anyway) but I hate Cooking Mama. She gets fire in her eyes during every single step. Do I suck that much at cooking? I did manage to get a gold medal for my gyoza. This means I'm qualified to be Nino's wife. Yay.
I still haven't watched the entire sports thingy, but I did get to the swimming race. Let's take a moment to point and laugh at Jun's swimming shorts. *points and laughs* .... okay. I don't want to spoil the ending, but I was really surprised. Nevermind the cheating gear, if you look closely he comes up for breath just barely before the Olympic swimmer did. Matsujun is a pretty heavy smoker, right? It's amazing that he's so good. Start training now and you might make it to Beijing next year, kid. Give Arashi more publicity. 8D~~
MUST UPDATE WHILE THE MEMORY IS FRESH IN MY MIND. Yesterday I said I went to Keikarou, right? It was closed, but I took a bunch of nice pictures, so I was debating whether I would go back to eat or not. In the end, I did. It's quite small, only about nine tables of four seats, and the food is decent, even for a picky eater that hates Chinese food like me. (I ordered xiao long bao. Why were they so obsessed with eating that in Taiwan when they can just go over to Aiba's? 8D) When I got there it was empty, but by the time I left it was packed with old salarymen and I believe a couple of fans. It was still early, though, so I didn't expect to meet Aiba-mama or anything, so I went to sign the guestbook. Then she comes out. O shi I think my heart leaped of out its chest and totally ruined my note. I've seen pictures of her before on some Korean blog, but she looks much much better and younger in person. It's hard to believe she could have a son in his twenties. She asked where we (my aunt was with me lulz) were from, was I going to the concert, etc. Then she said "Wait a moment, present, present!" Of course I'm like "No, no, it's okay, you don't need to!" but she comes back with some shop photos of Aiba-chan for me, and then precedes to follow us out the door waving. I died so much my note in the guestbook probably turned into gibberish. I don't even remember the trip home. 8D;;
Also, I stole some napkins and the chopstick wrapper. *shot* Will post pictures and/or scans of the photos she gave me later. <33333 Best day ever.
lulz @ wank on LJ. Now that I think about it, I probably have 'sensitive' (in the form of stick figures. ooo a threat to society.) material over there too, so I should consider myself lucky? At least Vox is still too small for anyone to care about. xD
It's June now. I'm sure everyone knows what that means? One month and twelve days until the start of the concert. 8D~ The ballots should be coming out soon. Has everyone gotten their ulcers yet? No? Just me? That sucks. The album recording was talked about on Jun Style today, so they've probably are doing pamphlet photoshoots and the like already too. zomg can't wait. <3333 I hope Aiba-chan has those luxurious curls on his uchiwa and the fandom goes into an uproar and commits group suicide just like last year. Honestly, I've never seen such a positively annoying fandom when it comes to this stuff. Can't a guy change his hairstyle without fifty million rumors popping up? Ppl plz stfu k. Somehow I've turned my concert pamphlet excitement into a rant. Don't blame me, Aiba-chan made me do it! Serious business guyz. I have the sudden urge to bring up that I and very choosy about who is in my neighborhood and who isn't. I never add someone I don't like, so when I go into stupid rants about fandom, it doesn't concern you. The only people I honestly dislike are BNFs. I know, however, the deepest circle of hell is reserved for BNFs (and fanart thieves) so I don't worry myself over them.
Discovered this article this morning. Uh, and that made the news why? A ticket for 50,000yen is a scalper discount! xD I was half expecting the tickets they sold to be in the 150,000~300,000yen range like they are on Yahoo Japan.
IT CAME. It came, and it is love. I've never gotten anything this fast from CDJapan before. I honestly didn't expect it before next Wednesday. <3 The packaging is great. The limited edition is so much more creative than their usual "Oh, let's stick a mini clear folder in here!" gimmick. I have all six cards pinned to my wall in a row and they look like mugshots. I love mugshots. *ded* The little Italian flag on the exclamation point on the normal edition was a nice touch. I didn't even notice it on the scans.
The songs themselves? We Can Make It's radio version was decent quality so there was not much difference between it and the CD version, so no surprises there. According to iTunes, I've listened to it 133 times. I think I'm getting sick of it already. xD Di Li Li and Future, on the other hand, I enjoyed much more in perfect quality. In fact, Future is now one of my favorite songs evarz. Aiba-chan's singing sounds especially good here. I know "Aiba-chan's singing" and "good" should never be allowed in the same sentence, but. Really, he's starting to sound more like he used to before his pneumothorax, or maybe rock songs just suit him. I've always hoped he would give the saxophone another try as well, but he (probably) knows his own health more than anyone else. A guitar is fine too. 8D and somehow my review of We Can Make It has turned into Aiba babble. Why yes, it is possible for me to babble about members besides Jun. Shocking.
Happy Cinco de Mayo! Eh, guess I'll have a burrito for lunch instead of my usual staple of pasta and candy. =9
Happy Birthday, Aiba-chan! <3333333 Just when I thought that joke had gone out of style, you bring it up again on Music Station. I'll make sure to call you "Aiba" from now on just to annoy you. <3 Speaking of Music Station, anyone know where to get a full version that's not split into fifty pieces? Last year I was able to find a nice, 3gb file on Jpopsuki, but it's nowhere to be found this year.
After reading translations of those marriage checklists, my results were the same. Nino is my best match, but I cannot resist Aiba's free zoo passes he promises his wife, so we'll have to go Mormon. (I only recently found out that most zoos in the world aren't free. That makes me sad.) lol Shou, he's definitely going to be a wife beater. He'll leave his wife to take care of the kids and sort out the garbage by herself while he goes drinking every night and before he knows it, she divorces him. By that time he's fat and old and wearing a bad toupee and the only job he can hold down is co-hosting a boring talk show with fresh, young idols and reminisce about the good ole days while the idols say things like, "What, you used to be young, Sakurai-san? No way!" ...I can't help it. These are the funniest interviews I've read in a while, though I have a feeling they aren't meant to be. Forever bachelors. 8D~
Asia Tour photobook? Haven't they 'made it up' to the Japanese fans enough already? I'm just bitter because I bought my Hachikuro limited edition DVD/Bokuimo book/some random magazines a few days ago and have no money to add anything to the order. Weep. Why do all these things have to come out in January, when everyone is broke?
As I won't be here for the next few days, Merry Christmas! There's no telling when I'll be back, as I'm planning on being busy with Twilight Princess chores and stuff until at least New Year's.
I'm a little late posting about it, but Mago Mago lived up to my expectations. <3 Aiba and Jun are at total opposite ends of the spectrum when dealing with kids. Can't say Jun didn't try, though. The scene of him talking with the Furby was priceless. I'm one of those kids that went to the store at midnight and got tackled by soccer moms to get a hold of one when they first came out, so Furbies have a special place in my heart. Kids nowadays just don't know how lucky they are. >0 Off topic what. Well, he was at lot better off than I would have been in that situation. I would have killed that crying kid, but it seems they just put him into a drugged sleep and gagged him with a towel. (??) He did seem to want to kill the little girl by salmonella poisoning. The rice looked great, but omg that uncooked omelette made me nauseous just looking at it. <<<< Aiba-chan, this time, sorry Banchou. What's up with the photo uploader on Vox? I got unlazy and made screenshots for the first time in a while, and nothing works. LJ is down too. wryyy.
Wait, what? Wasn't Maison Ikkoku supposed to be a Nino drama airing next year? I admit I completely forgot about it until now and don't even remember if it was a rumor or not. It was, obviously, but it's kind of a shame. Nino would have been a perfect Godai. xD
HANADAN2 COMMERCIALS!!!1 Gotta collect 'em all. I wasn't all that excited about it at first and had wanted Jun to do something new and different ( though Bokuimo is definitely different. 8D;; ) but after seeing these. eeeeeee. So far I have the 8-16 one and the 8-17 one. Does that mean there will be a new one each day? I uploaded the one for the 17th, as I haven't seen it floating around on LJ yet.
G no Arashi, as expected, was hilarious as usual. <33
It was fun to see Aiba's new assistant, 'Do-S Ura Banchou Nino-chan,' (when did everyone start calling him "-chan" anyway? It sounds so wrong.) trying so hard to get all the experiments correct. As long as he doesn't have to do the work himself, Nino is a perfectionist. xD I've actually eaten corn cobs before, although not fried. It tasted like ice tea. Don't ask. That other stuff, uh, I'll take their word for it. I think Captain's taste buds are contagious. As usual, I learned a few useless things. The whole alarm clock and cake in the vacuum really did surprise me. Professor Aiba helps educate the world's youth! They really should do A no Arashi more often. Maybe next week is the memory game again? zomg.
Was so preoccupied with that last night I forgot to check the Oricon. Here I was complaining that Aozora Pedal didn't sell very well, but poor Takitsuba. =o It's a shame to see the Johnny's streak end, but truth be told, I like Southern All Star's new song more than Ho! Summer. but at least the PV is kuul. Is that a banana boat I see? Finally saw Utawara, and was disappointed that Matsujun didn't go and join them in their performance like he did for Venus. No Border~ <3
