Been avoiding vox for a while because there's so much drama and complaining going on lately. (OMG IT'S JUST HAIR WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL.) I'm so glad I checked it today though, to find out about the Hana Yori Dango Final preorder~~~ Shipping wound up being 4300yen. This should go down in the record books as the most expensive movie of all time. *weeps bitter tears* Only for Doumyouji. <333
I had a nightmare last night that for whatever reason, Yamapi and I were living together in a mansion. It turned out to be haunted, and like many nightmares, I was brutally murdered by very scary things. Right now I am super pissed at Yamapi for not saving me. DDD<
Another thing I'm pissed about is the 2,000 Japanese fans that got to go to Taiwan. So this Asia Tour is, once again, mostly a chance for Japanese girls to go on vacation with Arashi rather than Arashi giving a concert for the rest of Asia, after all. Geh. I will kill them if they pull another Secret Talk 2006 thing. (well, not Arashi themselves, but the staff. You know what I mean.)
edit: Anyone know why Beautiful Days says "Released Postponed" on CDJapan? ;0;
Happy Fourth of July!
The Loch Nessatoshi Monster told me to make an entry on Maou, even if it was just keyboard smashing. Okay then.

Seriously, it was amazing. I love Captain. I love Touma. I even loved Nino's minuscule role. Some parts were so creepy I wanted to look away from the screen, but I couldn't, because I didn't want to miss Devil!Oono. The creepiest part is, I own a music box very similar to the one used in the drama. It even plays Somewhere Over the Rainbow. The young girl was also quite creepy. Her eyes are way too big. She's not human, I'm sure of it.
Of course, their acting was superb. Not just from Touma and Oono, but all the cast. I loved seeing Kita-san! I don't want to spoil it, so I can't write anymore, but I really liked the plot so far. I'm sure my neighborhood has exploded with spoilers already anyway. xD
I watched Code Blue as well. It's a good thing I watched it before Maou, because if I hadn't it would have been so boring I would have quit half way through. Does Pi even have a part in this? He only starts getting lines at the very end. Talk about a heartless bastard. I liked all the other characters, though, so I'll give it a second chance. Definitely not as good as Maou. <3
Tomorrow is Sapporo Dome~~~
I just got finished watching the last episode of Propose Daisakusen. Just, as in closed the movie file and promptly pressed the "compose" button on Vox. My thoughts? Oh fuck you Kuwata Keisuke and your guitar and your stupid dance moves and orchestra and scrolling credits. WHY DID YOU HAVE TO APPEAR AT THE BEST PART? I'm never listening to that song again. ;_; Despite that, I'm pleased with the ending and enjoyed the series much more than I thought I would as a whole. As for characters, I liked Kenzo in the beginning but he started getting frustrating later on. (omg just tell her) Never could get warmed up to Rei, Tada-san, or Eri. My favorite characters hands down were Mikio and his girlfriend. *dies* I hope they get a spin-off.
I've been lazy about updating lately, or maybe it just feels that way because there's been so much news coming out. Arashi apparently gets great happiness from taking all of our money three singles and it's barely been half a year whyyyy. Not that I'm complaining. <333
While reading recent interviews, I've noticed Matsujun mentioned an interest in pets? lulz Jun, you do know that you have to take care of your pet and not just throw warm water on it every now and then and pretend it comes back to life, right? Those poor turtles are going to haunt you forever.
I'm just finished watching Prodai 4 and I'm still teary eyed. S- S- SEISHUN. I was home schooled, so I never got any graduation ceremony. Give me some do-overs too, kthnx. Oh and I love Ken.
Has anyone seen this bit of news yet? The director and screen writer (I'm probably getting that wrong) for Hanadan are teaming up again, this time for a movie. Starring Kitagawa Keiko. There's a coincidence. 8D I immediately thought of those rumors from '05 when Jun was said to have bribed the staff of Hanadan to let his buddy Shun play Rui, because he didn't like the guy (supposedly another Johnny's) they originally cast. Matsujun has a proper super star attitude and would so pull something like that for a friend, and perhaps even more so for a girlfriend. (Not that I think she can't get a role by herself.) Tezuka U-kun is there too. *yawn* Regardless I want to see this movie.
We are writing to inform you that your Order is regrettably delayed due to items not received from the manufacturer. The original estimated delivery date for this order was 16 Jan 2007. You now have a number of options available to you regarding this order - blah blah basically jump through hoops and wait a few months for your order, or cancel your order, and you won't get your money back either way. Oh, and you'll have to separate your order too, which means double shipping costs!
...has anyone else that pre-ordered Hachikuro from HMV recieved this message? I also ordered a magazine with it, which is apparently out of stock because they didn't add it to my order to begin with. I preordered this in, what, October or something? First they wouldn't let me add to the order when there were a few other magazines I wanted and were very rude in responding to my mail about it, and now this. Hachikuro was the first movie I saw in a Japanese theater and was so looking forward to owning the DVD. Even if I do wait for the order, they probably won't give me the English subtitled Limited Edition anyway. Fuck you, HMV. Sorry for the rant, but just wanted to send out a little warning to people here that ordered from them.
On a lighter(?) note, Byakkotai and Haikei Chichiue-sama. It is probably in one's best interests to skip the first half of Byakkotai. Two hours of nothing happening at all, and the second half has a long summary of it all anyway. Oh man, I've always been weak for Bakumatsu. Oh, and hakama. <3 Yamapi, Kouki, and Higashi were all decent here, and Kouki's character stole my heart. It's no taiga, but I believe it was still well done enough to attract Japanese history fans, not just JE fangirls. Even though I knew what was going to happen, I still got teary eyed at the end. So much better than those Schoolhouse Rock history cartoons we were forced to watch in school. D=
Haikei Chichiue-sama was a disappointment, for the most part. I started watching it right after I woke up and got so bored that I turned it off half way through to go eat breakfast. After I finished eating, I decided to start it again and it suddenly got more interesting, so maybe I was just not awake yet. Nino's acting continues to be bland and overrated and I have no pity for his character whatsoever. I guess my hopes were too high for another Yasashii Jikan. Then Yoko came in the picture and turned everything awesome. He's improved so much since Tanteidan. I decided I loved Kuroki Meisa in Byakkotai the day before, so I was anxiously awaiting her appearance here. The best part in the episode was when Ippei was daydreaming about her and the basket, and then Tokio ruins his plans again. They have good chemistry together, so I'll probably watch this to the end. Wait, wasn't this supposed to be a bad review?
Also, heard 2ch is (temporarily?) closing down? Where will I get my TV rating information and trashy JE rumors now? Today sucks. Hurry up, Hanadan. edit: Somehow 2ch is still working for me, and Chichiue-sama got 12.9%. By the way, Hanadan got over 20% in the Kansai region. I guess the YokoAri concert did have a significant effect on the rating. xD
Woke up this morning to news of Yamapi's Byakkotai drama special. It's hard to believe it's already been a year since Nobuta started airing. I don't fangirl Pi like I used to, (technically, I never did, I just fangirled Akira. 8D) but it's definitely another thing to look forward to in January.
A fitting end to G no Arashi. I loved the underwater instruments and the backwards sumo, but did they really have to show the backwards rock paper scissors that we've already seen a million times, when they could have stuck in Matsujun's birthday party on the set? ;_; I wish they could have done one last air guitar session, too. The big announcements were that C/D/G no Arashi will be released on DVD, which they already announced the week before, and the 'renewal' to Shukudai-kun. No Fight Song CD release in sight. *cries TEARS OF BLOOD* This is probably due to Nino not wanting anything he writes released on CD, but I'll sulk around and blame the staff anyway. At least for a few minutes, before I'm distracted by something new and shiny and get over it. (Like Utawara. Ooooo feet.)
Randomly, the set of Shukudai-kun reminds me of my kindergarten classroom. This Okura guy seems to have more sense of humor than Kitarou and a really ugly toupee, so I'm starting to look forward to this. <3
