I sincerely apologize in advance for this post. If I could use an lj cut, I would. ;_;
Neglected to mention that a few days ago I watched the Mirror DVD. Doko is an amazing singer, amazing dance, the lighting effects were stunning, and MA was so hilarious it should have been called the MA Concert with Doumoto Kouichi instead. Also, I still have the "Kou-chan Paradise~~" song stuck in my head. xD So, watching AAA a few days later, I can't help but compare the two. Out of all the Johnny's concerts I've seen, Arashi is the only one that goes out of their way to reach the fans and make sure they have a good time. In fact, Arashi seems like they have just as much fun, if not more, than the fans. I don't mean Kou-chan looked like he didn't want to be there or wasn't into it, but the looks on Arashi's faces during any given concert really express their feelings to their fans. That, or they're just really good actors, which somehow I don't believe. xP
If I had one complaint about the DVD, it isn't about what's on it, but what wasn't on it. Way too little Arashic. Even the backstage clips for Taiwan and Korea were longer than the whole concert digest for Arashic. ;_; Then again, the title is "Arashi Around Asia" so it's only expected that it takes a backseat. What they did show was awesome, so I guess we should be thankful for that. Another complaint I have is that there were no glasses!Jun shots. *ANGST* Shut up.
I watched the Taiwan full concert DVD first. Oh man. Kansha Kangeki Ame Arashi in Chinese was beautiful. <3 I had no idea what they were saying, (to any fans that speak Chinese: was it legible? xD) but their effort made me tear up because I'm a crybaby loser. Then they went right into Hero for the encore. C- C- Critical damage. ;____; Warning: EXP below 20%. Then from that to Fight Song. EXP 0%, Iro is dead, no chance of revival. Fight Song is my biggest weakness, why, oh why, must you kill me so brutally, Arashi? <333333
Onto disk one AKA extensions banzai. Make sure to read the directions on how to get
the DVDs out. I spent ten minutes struggling with it before I realized
they were there. 8D;; Because of "copyright protection" (imagine a long
rant here) I was unable to play the videos on my computer, so I had to
download it from cb to take screenshots. I didn't download the Taiwan
con DVD, though, because 4gb is just too much. and the only screenshot
I wanted was of Matsujun's camera kissing during Tell Me. As usual, mouse over for stupid descriptions.
Disk two was entirely Korea. I've seen the news clips and all, but that only showed a fraction of the batshit craziness of Korean fans. Ow, my ears. I love how they were walking through the airport , Matsujun holding the camera, when suddenly it turned into hysteria. They ran into the van with looks on their faces like they just had near death experiences. Jun even said "I thought I was going to die!" and I was rofl-ing all the way. Kudos to you, Korea.
Finally seeing the MCs instead of just imagining it was a big treat. So the Arashi age range is 11 ~ 30. *dies* Pfft, we all know that these kids don't look a day over 20, even without all their makeup. Damn Johnny and his fountain of youth. He isn't happy with just being a pedo himself, nooo, he wants to bring everyone else down to his level by making us all feel like pedos, even when they're legal.
By the way, does anyone know if those Chinese dumplings that they were having a secret affair with are available in America? I have Chinese food related trauma, (the Chinese restaurant in my area was shut down for serving cat meat as beef.) but I'm curious and want to try these to see what the fuss is about. There's even a picture on the inside of the DVD case. xD
Asia might be too dangerous now for them to visit again, but I really really hope they do another Arashi Around (Insert Continent Here) tour in the future. Especially Europe. I always wanted to visit Europe, and that would be a perfect excuse. Better yet, a world tour. One up Eito's every prefecture tour with an every country tour! *shot*
In other news, I somehow got a ticket to the first showing of Pirates
in St. Louis this evening. Now if only I had that kind of luck with
other tickets. ;; Yeah, expect another whiny post on that subject later.

Also, re: your visit to Japan, does Arashi have scalpers on-site right before concerts (I only ask because I know Kanjani8 does)? I mean, I'm sure those can be outrageously expensive depending on how good the seats are, but if they do and worse comes to worse, you might have luck with that? I'm guessing you haven't had luck finding tickets on auctions either? Ack, I don't know much more about this either so I don't know what to tell you...
They're xiao long bao. (sp?) Arashi was acting like they were presents to them from the gods and that they could be found no where except one restaurant in Taiwan. xD After some googling, however, it looks like they can be found just about anywhere. Except within a 100 mile radius of me.
I was told they do, but last year I didn't see any at all. Scalper prices can't be worse than the 200,000yen (arena) tickets that are sold on auction, but the tickets aren't sent out until two weeks before the concert date, so auctions don't start until then. It's not like I have a reliable way of buying from auctions, anyway. ;; The worst part to me, though, is that I seem to be the only one I know worrying over all this. *shot*
Getting tickets and making arrangements to go to Japan to see a Johnny's concert always seems way too complicated, which is why I haven't tried. D: You should try and find some way to get into the fanclub, which, yeah, I know is really hard, but it would make your life easier in the future? Or better yet, go study abroad there. Good luck though.
